For this project I was tasked with designing a new and improved version of the Lifetime Tamarack, their first and one of their most popular kayaks. In partnership with a design engineer,  I utilized user feedback to create a kayak which captured what was loved about the original while improving the functionality, performance, and user experience. Adding a frame seat and installing track for accessories were the most common changes customers would make to the original Tamarack, so having those on the Tamarack Pro was key.

In the sketches above, I've illustrated how I addressed my greatest concern from a user experience standpoint. I needed to ensure that there was ample flat surfaces on the gunnels for adding additional track and accessories. In addition, I ensured that all of the angler's gear would be accessible from the seat position.
